jolly mence chiude il suo mence senza tanti complimenti e finisce la battle. se le prime non erano state molto combattute, questa è stata gratis. e siccome il mio mindset quando vinco easy mi impone di fare il buffone, prendo un team con electrode, tanto carlo suca.

dopo la battle gli ho detto anch'io che tenere dactyl sarebbe stata la scelta migliore, perché essenzialmente poteva flinchare mence - poteva anche missare ma dovrebbe essere più raro! io ho usato ddance pensando proprio che non avrebbe rischiato il miss contro un possibile kill. la (2) non è esattamente garantita (e anzi era fortemente a mio favore) visto che articuno non fa niente a walrein e viene ohkoato da slide non boostata, e tra toxic ed encore mi sembra molto difficile risolvere senza dare a mence le entrate che chiudono la partita.

a me va anche bene perché recupero hp con metagross. qui stavo per fare meteor mash ma premo undo facendo il seguente ragionamento: sta pensando al mash (layer2) e non vorrà rischiarsi dactyl (layer3). il fatto è che celebi non gli da poi questi gran problemi, io lo voglio recuperare per non entrare subito nell'endgame in cui per fermare zapdos devo sacrificare, ma se lo perdo non mi cambia la vita. quindi perché mai dovrebbe predictare? dactyl è un set up per mence nel momento in cui smette di usare slide, per esempio per accoppare quindi anche lasciarlo vivere mi apre una strada per vincere. per questo motivo scelgo di fare il solito switch al counter (layer4): anche se se lo aspetta e manda dactyl, io ho la possibilità di vincere facendo la scelta giusta con mence vs dactyl.

una buona battle in cui ho missato una predict che tutti pensavano fosse cruciale ma rientrava nel mio piano, e così l'ho quasi spuntata. rock slide però era di un'opinione differente. siamo di nuovo pari, riprovo con il team più blu che ho per vedere di chiudere rapidamente.

le altre battle le metto adesso. houndoom era il peggio ma la seconda ce la saremmo potuti giocare se io non fossi stato preso dall'autismo verso metà, la prima era matchup e in questa ha sbagliato completamente il tempo delle scelte, che è l'errore peggiore che puoi fare quando uno si chiude e ti sfida sulla pazienza.

CAMP HARDER

la strategia degli smogon team mi ha regalato una vittoria ma si è rivelata meno efficace del previsto a lungo termine; ma adesso ritorno a qualcosa di più mio e con la possibilità di chiudermi in una difesa imbarazzantemente difficile da oltrepassare racchiusa in due pokémon che gestiscono il tempo, con un reflect e un wish di supporto a un'offensiva almeno altrettanto devastante.

a ripensarci avrei provato un paio di crunch per rendere più facile batterlo con i danni residui (senza contare che avrei potuto pescare un crit o un drop), non è che snorlax nella sandstorm sopravviva poi così a lungo alle speciali. ma chissà per qualche motivo decido che lo spikes shuffling con una sola spike, senza sapere nemmeno se lui ha lo spinner, è più efficiente. non sono d'accordo con le mie scelte ma sono sicuro che in questo momento stavo essenzialmente pensando alle coglionate dei turni precedenti.

battle giocata di merda e chockata duramente sulla sua pressione offensiva. il matchup non era garantito ma avrei potuto vincere avendo avuto culo, semplicemente non facendo l'idiota e recuperando con gli switchback a blissey, e non facendo quei cristi di tbolt visto che non ero in una qualche situazione di mancanza dei pp di beam o che altro.

ci metto un po' di tempo a scegliere il team per la terza battle, ma sono abbastanza sicuro di vincerla mettendo un reflect e schiacciando sulla pressione offensiva che fino a qui è stata determinante nel condizionare le scelte, prima da una parte e poi dall'altra. un team con due choice bander ed un grande gioco di pillaring è la risposta a qualunque cosa scelga per la prossima battle.

per la prima partita della bo7 uso il team di cowboy dan perché è un team equilibrato e con una innovazione che chulo non conosce (il taunt gengar), e perché sono sicuro che lui aprirà con uno stall per provare la sorpresa e sondare le acque senza perdere troppo male; e questo team ha pursuitar con roar che piscia addosso agli stall + sdef forretress.

vinco la prima 6-0 squisitamente di pressione offensiva e di matchup, anche se la predict più importante che ho fatto è stata quella di leggere perfettamente il team che avrebbe usato, e penso che in realtà lui non ha capito molto del mio gengar, in fondo niubbazzi come sharbilla hanno giocato contro smogon team di questo tipo per mesi continuando a sucare e immagino che la cosa non sarà diversa per questo vecchio relitto di chupito; quindi due cose rafforzano la mia convinzione di tenere questo team al second game:
1) non conosce gengar, non ha capito bene il team, anche se ha capito un po' gengar continuerà a farci schifo contro come tutti gli altri nub italiani.
2) si aspetta che io cambi team, quindi anche nella remota possibilità che abbia intuito come fermare gengar glielo succhierà ugualmente perché non piglierà un team buono contro questo.
