Nidoking è un Pokémon che mi è sempre piaciuto molto, a partire dai tempi di Pokémon Stadium, passando per Pokémon Oro fino ad arrivare ad oggi. Da sempre il coniglio mannaro mi ha ispirato un'idea di potenza notevole, e per chiunque è facile notare come abbia sempre avuto a disposizione un movepool enorme, che non lasciava altro che l'imbarazzo della scelta; sfortunatamente, come chiunque sviluppi una minima esperienza di gioco competitivo potrà notare, nessuna delle sue statistiche raggiunge soglie più che decenti, il suo typing può essere utile in certe situazioni, ma resta inferiore nella maggior parte dei casi a quello di Flygon, Pokémon che ottiene anche un trait superiore. Il passaggio da GSC ad RSE rimuove da Nidoking anche la NYPC move Lovely Kiss, dandogli in cambio Megahorn, che tuttavia compensa solo in parte la perdita di una precisa sleep move. Terrei però a mostrare come Nidoking possa effettivamente farsi valere anche nel metagame RSE di oggi, sfruttando al massimo ciò che davvero lo contraddistingue dagli altri tipi Ground: il movepool vasto, che in battle può essere sfruttato da un giocatore abile, dando origine a serie di mosse concatenate che possono causare un pesante indebolimento del team avversario.

Hai decisamente trovato il set giusto. L'ho subito usato pure io in un paio di miei team con enormi soddisfazioni, è un attacker misto con ottima coverage e speed interessantissima (io lo tengo a 286). L'avevo usato qualche tempo fa anche in un altro team (quello con Vapo SubPasser e Camerupt SubExploder, se lo ricordi...) e già lì funzionava bene, ma era decisamente Thunder la mossa che mi mancava, a costo di colpire con meno potenza Steelix, Forretress e Scizor. E' davvero un GRAN pokémon, nonostante le sue statistiche basse. Di certo fa molta paura all'avversario, credo che anche tu ne abbia quando sono io ad usarlo.

boh io vedo sempre l'attacco come fondamentale, mentre l'attacco speciale molto meno perché più che altro va a colpire sulle debolezze con ice beam e thunder, mentre con eq ci devi tirar giù pokémon tosti come ttar, metagross e steelix o gente senza debolezza a ground (blissey e lax principalmente) :[ trovo comunque che fire blast o eventualmente focus punch siano mooolto più interessanti di megahorn (che non ha spettro generico, lo si usa SOLO per celebi) e penso che usare eq/beam/thunder/fire blast, purché si abbia dugtrio, houndoom o gengar con la sbomba, possa essere un'idea molto migliore, e qualcosa che un giorno o l'altro dovrei provare :\

trovo che Celebi sia comunque ancora troppo diffuso >_> ma, dato che Ice Beam può bastare per Claydol, anche una Sludge Bomb può essere usabile (poisonare la roba è una carta che può essere vincente, e fa comunque da repellente per Celebi). Sarebbe da provare... anche se così funziona benissimo °°

lo satk mi piace per colpire durissimo Gengar e i Water >:}

fire blast (come ogni fire move in rs rly) è una carta vincente da giocare; tieni presente che non puoi usare nidoking senza ttar, il che significa che ci sarà sempre il supporto della sand, ed un nidoking nella sand, anche il mio che ha solo 236 spatk, 3hkoa sempre celebi max/max; questo da una parte vuol dire poco (lui ha recover e stab psychic), ma se predicti bene o hai houndoom/dugtrio/un qualche celebi lurer, arrivare a picchi del 40% (sempre sul max/max) non è roba da poco, specialmente perché non devi più scappare da heracross (a cui puoi fare tranquillamente un w-t-f 70%). tenendo presente quanto spesso i celebi oggi adottino poi la spread di smogon (max hp/0 spdef) direi che arrivare ad un bel 51% di danno (sempre con la mia spread) non è da buttare via; oltre a forretress e scizor che vengono ohkoati, la blast dà un immediato vantaggio anche contro steelix e, per chi usa spread come la tua, sono sicuro la blast faccia a metagross più danni dell'earthquake-il mio 272 atk stab earthquake infligge 55-65, 236 spatk fire blast infligge 52-62 (parlo del max hp ovviamente).

Queste sono le cose belle di RSE! Un pokèmon sicuramente non di tutti i giorni che ben supportato dà spettacolo e raggiunge una soddisfacente fama per il proprio standard; è da un po' che non creo qualcosa simil Jynx/Tenta/Doom/Cate based per smuovere un po' il mg, alla prima idea torno a buildare qualcosa come ai vecchi tempi (???) in cui ero sicuramente più attivo.
