Bene. Clicco istintivamente hidden power, ma quando leggo la sua frase capisco che ha capito anche lui che la situazione può essere delicata. Provo ad entrare nella mente del mio avversario. "Se lascio Celebi ad attaccare e Donphan usa la bug power sono fregato. Se però spinna ho l'occasione di tirare un bel colpo a Donphan. Se mando invece Skarmory, Hidden Power mi farà ridere, mentre in caso di rapid spin posso rispikeare subito dopo. Manderò Skarmory." Come sfruttare in maniera vantaggiosa tutto ciò? Swampert è sotto la soglia di 2HKO di Hidden Power di Salamence. Skarmory invece è a pieni HP. È più divertente, le prediction ESISTONO e sono appaganti, le battle non durano 6 turni, non ci sono belve inarrestabili (e le poche che ci sono stanno in Uber o sono considerate cheap), mind game inferiore a GSC ma comunque decente, grande versatilità senza che ogni pokémon rinunci alla sua identità, meno hax item, più strategia.

E' curioso come tutto questo sia vero in confronto a D/P, ma sia assolutamente falso in confronto a GSC. RSE ha fatto a GSC quello che poi ha giustamente subito da D/P. Ed ora la strategia è morta e ha vinto Smogon, che cerca anche di far entrare nel metagame OU Kyogre e compagni xD!

Imo RSE è il miglior metagame. Sarà solo perché ho in tutto tre GSC team, tutti fatti alla cazzo?
Però boh, RSE mi dà l'idea di qualcosa di più vario, in cui si può provare una grande varietà di strategie diverse, senza che siano troppe per compromettere la durata delle battles.
DP sarebbe anche figo, purtroppo c'è TROPPA roba da fermare, ogni Pokémon può far qualcosa, e non è semplicissimo fare team equilibrati ma al contempo offensivi senza usare i soliti murazzi obesi.

Sono stanchissimo, ho fatto un casino di ore di macchina in questi giorni, potrei aver scritto solo stronzate.

RSE mi da la stessa idea che hai tu, Carl, però quando guardi a come la gente gioca, all' uso spropositato della Choice Band, all' uso di Tyranitar senza fregarsene del suo Trait, all' assenza delle strategie, alle statistiche offensive stellari, a come alcuni Pokémon siano schifosamente overpowered, allora ritorna la voglia di GSC. Certo, i team originali e strategici sono molto divertenti, fanno del metagame un po' un' espansione di GSC, ma comunque... :/

Non penso, in GSC non esiste la Choice Band, e neanche le EVs. Le statistiche difensive, in fondo, sono obese proprio per questo.

Nono, in GSC non si è mai vista una cosa ridicola come un Metagross/Medicham/Heracross/Dugtrio/Salamence CBander. Prima di tutto nessuno aveva dei trait che lo rendessero ancora più insopportabile (Blissey con Serene Grace e Natural Cure, Snorlax con Immunity e Thick Fat, SUICUNE - CHE E' UNO DEI TANK PIU' OBESI DELLA STORIA - CON PRESSURE, Metagross con Clear Body e così via). L'assenza di EVs e personalità rendeva assolutamente uguali tutti i pokémon della stessa specie (Hidden Power/Gender esclusi), quindi non esistevano pokémon che superassero i 500 di attacco appena messi in campo.
La cosa più importante è che i pokémon non erano stati stra-potenziati da dei cretini. Heracross voleva difendersi dai volanti? Perfetto. Allora o gli davi una Rock Power o un Seismic Toss. Se desideravi attaccare con un attacco lotta dovevi usare comunque l'HP, visto che dare una mossa con una potenza base superiore ai 70 ad un tizio che ha già un Megahorn stabbato è una follia. Se Heracross voleva aumentare l'attacco doveva usare Curse, riducendo così la sua velocità. E nonostante questo sapeva sfasciare interi team.
In FRLG, pensando che evidentemente non fosse già abbastanza potente così, gli hanno dato: Brick Break, Focus Punch, Swords Dance, Rock Slide, Bulk Up, Salac+Reversal, Choice Band, Swarm, Guts e porcate simili. Stessa cosa per tutti gli altri pokémon come Zapdos, Snorlax, Suicune, Tyranitar ecc. Un tempo erano forti, ora sono dei veri mostri. In GSC Donphan poteva affrontare Tyranitar con relativa tranquillità, mentre ora con un paio di Quake CBandati nelle gengive Donphan è costretto a ritirarsi a testa bassa.

Gli unici "mostri" di GSC erano gli uber ed il Curselax. Stop.
Poi i pokémon che potevano creare problemi erano quelli come Heracross, Drumlax, Tyranitar, Machamp, Porygon2 ecc, ma non erano INAFFRONTABILI come lo sono oggi Metagross e Salamence -_-

Beh, praticamente ciò che ho scritto prima non è altro che una sintesi di quello che ha scritto ora AA. :°D

1) dopo il kill entra Tyranitar

-attaccando rischierei di sbagliare più predict e finire gli HP: mando in ogni caso Metagross

a. Tyranitar usa Rock Slide: assorbo il colpo con Metagross; quindi posso usare il secondo Sleep Talk: se lascia Tyranitar va bene in ogni caso; se manda Claydol, posso 2HKOarlo con Meteor Mash, visto che sono più veloce e la Slide di Tar e il suo EQ non bastano. Poi Tyranitar non può mettere KO entrambi.
b. Tyranitar usa Earthquake in predict: Metagross va KO. Mando Salamence, che a quel punto può DDanzare in modo gratuito sullo switch-in di Claydol, OHKOare entrambi SENZA la paura di morire di Leech Seed e quindi vincere
c. Entra subito in campo Claydol per sperare di cuttare gli HP a Salamence e ricaricare qualche HP: a questo punto tutti e due i Pokémon possono essere 2HKOati dall'altro, ma io sto ancora dormendo. Quindi, o uso Rest quando mi rimangono pochi HP, uso due Sleep Talk e un ultimo Meteor Mash, sperando che su tre Sleep Talk (uno prima del Rest, durante lo switch-in, due dopo) almeno uno sia Meteor Mash e così lo faccio fuori, potendo poi battere TTar con uno dei due come punto a., oppure faccio entrare Salamence su Claydol per intimidarlo (questa scelta dipende dal coraggio del momento, certo, ORA so che non avrei corso nessun rischio) per poi rimandare Metagross, sapere di non essere 2HKOato sullo switch-in e lo Sleep Talk rimanente e poi RestTalkare vincendo a questo punto EQ non è 3HKO). Se entra Tyranitar con successo in un qualsiasi momento, posso sacrificare Metagross e vincere come nel punto b.
2) dopo il kill entra Claydol

-mando in ogni caso Metagross

a. Claydol usa EQ in predict: ho ancora un turno di Sleep Talk prima di Restare, in questo caso Claydol può realmente 2HKOare Metagross; entrerebbe quindi Salamence, e visto che sperare in due ch per OHKOare due Pokémon è impensabile, la cosa più saggia sarebbe Danzare e sperare in un miracolo solo anziché due: qualsiasi cosa succeda, non vado KO mentre posso killare entrambi i Pokémon.
b. Claydol usa HP Fire (?): in questo caso la 2HKO avviene con due danni quasi massimi, oppure usando Earthquake il turno dopo. In ogni caso ora so che non ha Ice Beam, quindi posso sacrificare Metagross per poi Danzargli in faccia e vincere.
c. Claydol switcha per far assorbire a TTar l'HP Flying: la situazione è di nuovo Tyranitar vs Metagross, che è grosso modo quella descritta nel punto 1), con la differenza che in caso di entrata di Claydol esaurisco l'ultimo turno di Sleep Talk durante lo switch, e posso MMashare a cazzo facendo fuori in due e un colpi rispettivamente Claydol e Tyranitar.

Ecco, porca miseria. Forse con l'eccezione del punto 2) a., condizionato però da scelte secondo me improbabili di Ivano, e del 2) b., in cui potrei perdere con una sfortuna nera (0 MMash su 3 STalk, un miss di MMash, un ch suo) o comunque in altri episodi (ma in ogni caso avrei la scusa dell'hax), per quanto sono quasi sicuro che Ivano avrebbe fatto entrare Tyranitar,  avrei potuto vincere con certezza se non avessi danzato la seconda volta con Salamence. Purtroppo non era una battaglia "seria", in cui non DOVEVO vincere ma divertirmi, anche se stavo provando per la terza volta un nuovo team che aveva già vinto le altre due battle giocate, contro Malva e Fra. Quindi non mi sono armato di blocco note per segnarmi tutte le cose utili, e mi sono dimenticato che Claydol stava così male. Avrei potuto vincere anche senza sapere dell'Ice Beam. Chiaro che invece sapendolo tutti questi discorsi sono inutili, e avrei potuto semplicemente far entrare Salamence su Claydol in qualche modo e danzare, dal kill di Swampert in poi -51% erano troppi per l'OHKO, boostandomi prima contro Skarmory, dico. La cosa che mi infastidisce di più è che non sapevo di questo dettaglio che mi ha fatto perdere, mentre lui conosceva perfettamente il mio team -anche se non sapeva che avevo messo Ice Beam a Vaporeon, cosa che mi ha permesso di vendicare Camerupt dopo aver bluffato un paio di volte fingendo di non averlo, forse più per il fatto che pensavo ogni volta che avrebbe switchato. Avevo vinto con una spettacolare rimonta compiuta proprio secondo la "tattica" del team: picchia e fai cedere i muri. E così è stato: Skarmory e Swampert, i due principali tizi da buttare giù, sono andati KO consumati poco a poco dagli attacker obesi, e soprattutto dallo sweeper Salamence. Poi ho fatto un errore stupido, imperdonabile, che, come si è visto, mi ha tolto la vittoria oramai certa.

Pazienza, la battle è stata stupenda, fino a lì. Ancora gg, Ivano. :*

Dici che 8 mesi per decidere la mossa giusta sono troppi? :°D No, vabbè, in realtà ci ho sempre pensato e ripensato, oggi mi sono deciso a scrivere giù tutto. In effetti, come mi hai scritto tu in sul talk, questi erano gli ultimi turni di una battle molto impegnativa, quindi è comprensibile un po' di affaticamento del cervello. Avrei dovuto prendermi qualche giusto secondo per riflettere, se c'era un momento per farlo era questo. Il fatto è che non mi ero ancora reso conto della bella battle che avevo fatto, e non avevo questo assurdo desiderio di vincere. Vabbè, pazienza xD.
